What does Demonetization mean?
Demonetization refers to the removal of advertising revenue from a piece of online content — typically a YouTube video or social media post — by a platform’s algorithm or moderation team, usually because the content has been flagged as violating advertising guidelines or community standards. Demonetized content can still be published and viewed, but the creator receives no ad revenue from it. Demonetization can affect individual videos or entire channels, and creators who repeatedly receive demonetization flags may face channel-wide consequences.
