What does Expatriate (Expat) mean?

Expatriate (Expat) refers to a person who lives and works outside their native country, often for extended periods. In the entertainment industry, expatriates might include actors, directors, or crew members who relocate for international projects or work in foreign markets. While living abroad, expats may face challenges related to visas, taxes, and cultural adjustments, but they often benefit from new opportunities and experiences in global markets.

Example:A British actor becomes an expatriate when they move to the United States to pursue a career in Hollywood.
Example: A film director relocates to Paris to work on an international co-production, becoming an expatriate in France for the duration of the project.
