What does Swing mean?
Swing refers to a performer in theater or live productions who understudies multiple roles and can step into various parts when needed. Swings are essential to ensuring that a performance continues smoothly if a cast member falls ill or cannot perform. Unlike traditional understudies, who cover specific roles, swings must be versatile enough to learn and perform several different parts, often with little notice.
