What does On-Set Photographer mean?

On-Set Photographer is a professional responsible for taking still photographs during the production of a film, TV show, or commercial. These photographs capture scenes, behind-the-scenes moments, and promotional images for use in marketing, press releases, and DVD extras. The on-set photographer works closely with the director and producers to ensure that key moments are captured, which can later be used in posters, trailers, or promotional materials. For example, many of the iconic images used in movie posters are taken by on-set photographers.
