What does Pitch mean?

Pitch refers to a formal presentation made to producers, studios, or networks to propose a new film, TV show, or project. The goal of a pitch is to sell the concept and convince decision-makers to invest in or greenlight the project. A pitch typically includes a brief synopsis of the plot, character breakdowns, and explanations of the project’s creative vision. In the entertainment industry, successful pitches can lead to production deals, script development, or funding for a project.

Example:A screenwriter pitches a new drama series to a network, presenting the show’s premise, characters, and potential episode arcs.
Example: A director prepares a pitch for a film, including a visual presentation and a storyboard to communicate the creative direction to potential investors.
