What does Continuity mean?

Continuity covers a wide range of aspects, including costumes, props, hair, makeup, and the positioning of actors or objects in a scene. Continuity errors occur when something changes between shots or scenes without explanation, which can distract viewers and disrupt the storytelling.
Example:The continuity team ensures that an actor’s hairstyle remains the same across multiple scenes, even though they were filmed on different days.
Example: A continuity error occurs when a character’s drink is full in one shot but nearly empty in the next, without the character drinking in between.
