Call Time

What does Call Time mean?

Call Time refers to the specific time that cast and crew are expected to arrive on set for a day of filming or production. Call times are set by the assistant director or production coordinator and are staggered based on the schedule for the day, with some individuals required earlier than others depending on their role in the day’s shoot. It is essential to arrive on time or early, as lateness can delay the entire production.

Example:The call time for the makeup department is 5:30 a.m., while the main actors have a call time of 7:00 a.m. for a morning scene.
Example: An actor’s call time is set for 2:00 p.m., as they are only needed for an afternoon scene, allowing them to prepare off-set in the morning.
