What does Render mean?

Render refers to the process of generating a final image, video, or sequence from raw data or visual effects. In film, TV, and digital media, rendering is an essential part of post-production, especially for projects involving computer-generated imagery (CGI) or special effects. Rendering can take hours or even days, depending on the complexity of the visuals, and is often handled by powerful computers and specialized software. The rendered output is used in the final cut of the film or TV show, combining live-action footage with CGI or animation to create a polished scene.

Example:A visual effects team renders a sequence of CGI explosions for a science fiction film, ensuring the final product looks realistic when combined with live-action footage.
Example: A 3D animation studio spends weeks rendering an elaborate animated sequence for a children’s movie, carefully refining the details and textures.
