What does Montage mean?

Montage refers to a filmmaking technique that involves a series of short, quick-cut scenes or images that are edited together to convey the passage of time, summarize events, or highlight a specific theme. Montages are often accompanied by music or voiceover and are used to compress time in storytelling, allowing audiences to experience key developments without watching them in real-time. Montages are common in training sequences, travel scenes, or emotional transitions in films and TV shows.

Example:A sports film includes a training montage, showing the main character working hard over several months to become a champion.
Example: A travel montage in a movie shows the characters visiting various cities, with each location introduced by a quick shot and background music.
