What does Box Office mean?

Box Office refers to the location in a theater or cinema where tickets are sold to the public for a film, play, or other live performance. In a broader sense, box office is also used to describe the total revenue generated from ticket sales for a film or performance. A film’s success is often measured by its box office performance, with terms like “box office hit” or “box office flop”: being common indicators of how well a movie did in theaters.

Example:The movie broke box office records by earning over $200 million in its opening weekend.
Example: The box office sales for the film were low, and it struggled to recoup its production costs.
