What does NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) mean?

Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a legally binding contract that requires an individual to keep certain information confidential. In the entertainment industry, NDAs are commonly used to protect sensitive information about upcoming projects, including plot details, casting, and production methods. Actors, crew members, and even journalists may be required to sign NDAs before being given access to confidential information. For example, actors cast in blockbuster films like Avengers: Endgame are often bound by NDAs to prevent leaks before the film’s release.

Example:The actor signed an NDA before receiving the script for a major film to ensure no plot details were leaked.
Example: Production crew members were required to sign NDAs to keep the specifics of a top-secret streaming series under wraps.
