What does Exclusivity (Usage) mean?

Exclusivity Usage refers to a contractual agreement where a performer, model, or creative individual agrees to work exclusively for a specific project or brand, restricting them from engaging in similar work for competitors. This clause limits their ability to take on other jobs during the term of the agreement, ensuring that their image or performance is associated solely with the hiring brand or production. Exclusivity can significantly impact an actor”s availability for other roles, and it often includes additional compensation due to the restrictive nature of the agreement.

Example:A model signed an exclusivity clause in a contract with a fashion brand, preventing them from working with competing designers during the campaign period.
Example: An actor agreed to exclusivity for a television series, meaning they couldn”t take on other TV roles during the show”s production schedule.
