What does Booking mean?

Booking refers to the process of securing a job or role in the entertainment industry. When an actor, model, or other performer is selected for a role, they are “booked” for the job. This involves finalizing the agreement, setting a schedule, and preparing for the performance. Booking can apply to acting roles, commercial work, photoshoots, concerts, or other gigs where talent is required.

Example:An actor receives a call from their agent to confirm they’ve booked the lead role in an upcoming feature film.
Example: A musician books several concert dates for an upcoming tour, ensuring they will perform in multiple cities over the next few months.
