What does Cheat mean?

Cheat in film and television refers to a technique used by directors and camera operators to position actors or objects slightly out of place to create a more visually appealing or effective shot. Cheats are often used when it’s not possible to capture the perfect angle or when filming in a confined space. The goal of a cheat is to create the illusion that everything is in its natural place, even though the positioning may be slightly altered for practical reasons.

Example:In a romantic scene, an actor cheats by standing closer to their co-star than they naturally would, ensuring both faces are visible to the camera.
Example: A cheat is used in a car chase scene where the cars are positioned closer than they actually are, creating the illusion of a high-speed pursuit without the danger.
